Since our founding in 1990 by Donald Dean Jr., we have worked diligently to uphold the rich traditions of hunting, believing it to be far more than a simple pastime.

Our hunting preserve, co-managed for the last ten years by Donnie and his son Chris Dean, echoes the deep-rooted passion and respect for hunting that has been passed down through the Dean family for generations. At Mason Branch Hunting Preserve, we see ourselves not just as the custodians of this prime hunting land, but as advocates of a timeless tradition.
Our Approach
We differentiate ourselves through a personalized approach to hunting. Compared to other RSA hunting preserves in Maryland, our smaller size allows us to concentrate on the specific needs of our clients. We prioritize running a single hunting party at a time, with no more than four hunters per course. This allows everyone to take their time and enjoy an unhurried, immersive hunting experience. Whether your focus is on upland bird hunting, including quail, pheasant, or chukars, or on Canadian goose hunts, we’re committed to ensuring you walk away with a great story to tell.
